Dinky Austin Somerset 40J Dark Blue Scarce.

£485.00 (Sold out)

Issued 1953-54

Supplied from my own collection on request.

Description & Condition. Very, Near Mint

This was a scarce colour in dark blue which appeared in transition when models were changed from a shop keepers trade boxof six  to an individual early dual number box. I can not say for certainty whether this colour was ever supplied in a trade box and certainly I have never seen a '161' box with printed dark blue spots, however, here is a model supplied in a rare dual number box with dark blue spots factory applied.
The model is in lovely condition with just a couple of tiny roof marks an occasional surface mark and some minor high seam box wear. It is very presentable on display.

Box  Excellent Plus-Near Mint
Here is a lovely scarce box with all flaps and no damage or repairs. The flaps are still nice and fiirm. An odd end flap small stain. A little grubby now but this is still a very nice box. with one end spot dispaling a dark blue applied spot.

Summary.
A hard to find colour with an even harder to find box.

Fully light tested and no signs of any touch-ins.
