Dinky 451 Trojan Dunlop Van. Maroon wheels. Excellent Plus-Near Mint. Issued 1954-56.
Harder to find early model with maroon wheels.
There were a series of 6 Trojan advertising vans, of which four were first issued from trade boxes. Then individual dual number boxes, except the Blue OXO and finally each had their own code when the last two, Cydrax & Brooke Bond which were issued in 1957.
However, back to the Dunlop. The only variation I am aware of, is that early models from trade boxes and transitional dual boxes had maroon wheels. Later models had red wheels.
This is a harder to find version particularly with the early dual box.
Red paintwork with maroon wheels, with smooth tyres and a unnumbered base. There are transfers in black and yellow on each side. Maroon ridged wheels with black smooth tyres.
Condition. Excellent Plus-Near Mint
A bright example and very presentable with good tyres and unmarked base. There are several small chips around the model please study the pictures for your own assessment. The transfers have only minor marking.
Dual number 31B-451, with no tears or repairs. There is some age wear along edges and very light pencil pricing one end. Minor grubbiness.
